How do you create a Free-Form module?

Free-Form technology is the fruit of the unique know-how developed by ARMOR solar power films. This know-how is based on combining coating and printing processes with laser structuring.

Constantly developing, this production process will ultimately enable you to adapt even faster and more easily to customer demands without any significant impact on production volumes or costs.

Thanks to the inventiveness of our team, it is also already possible to design fully functional Free-Form modules in just a few hoursdays.

Free-Form photovoltaics: what are the applications?

Free-Form modules can be used for all types of applications: architecture, clothing, street furniture, transport… they have also already been used in numerous projects:

At Expo 2015, Free-Form OPV modules covered the solar trees of the German pavilion; a novel design incorporating organic photovoltaics at a major event.
More recently, during the OPE-MENA conference held in Dubai, real palm trees were covered with OPV modules in the shape of palm leaves. The electricity generated was used to power the Wi-Fi points.
Free-Form has also been used in other projects based on textiles to integrate modules into a backpack and in the transport sector with the solarization of a truck roof.
