The project

ASCA solar wall

On the occasion of the Pau Motors Festival - a competition focusing on new forms of mobility - ASCA and the Communauté d'Agglomération Pau Béarn Pyrénées are presenting the "ASCA® Solar Wall" on May 6, 2022, a solar wall for recharging electric bicycles.

It was developed as part of the "Pyrenees, Territories of Innovation" program run by the Pyrénées Atlantiques department (64) to meet the challenges of ecological transition. This demonstrator, covered with organic photovoltaic modules (OPV), enables the production of local green energy that can be used directly for more sustainable mobility.

One wall for two functions

In addition to recharging nearby electric bicycles, this solar wall also powers a backlight after dark.
