Connected clothing with integrated solar modules

As part of the Partcours event in Dakar, and at the initiative of the Ker Thiossane fablab, designers Doulsy Jah Gal and Claire Eliot have created connected clothing made from ASCA® solar modules.

The solar modules, in various shapes, are integrated into clothing and accessories to create unique creations.

A collection that is part of the Solar Punk movement

This collection, named Taarou Naaj, is part of the Solar Punk movement. It encourages an optimistic vision of the future given current environmental concerns such as climate change, pollution and social inequality.

In this context, the garments incorporate solar modules as the main source of energy; plants and light as a vital resource.
